Gifts of Retirement Plan Assets
Naming a not-for-profit like Eastman Commons as the beneficiary of an IRA or other qualified retirement plan assets is an increasingly popular way in which to provide for a favorite charity and/or Eastman Commons. If assets from these plans are passed to heirs, they can be heavily taxed. Removing these assets from your estate reduces estate taxes.
It is quite simple to include Eastman Commons as a beneficiary of your IRA, 401(K) (or life insurance policy). All that you have to do is request a beneficiary designation form from your plan administrator. When you complete the form, simply name Eastman Commons as a beneficiary. You can name Eastman Commons as the full beneficiary or as a partial beneficiary, which allows you to include other charities and/or people. You will also need Eastman Commons’ tax identification number, which can be provided upon request. If you are interested in making a gift of retirement plan assets benefitting both you and Eastman Commons, please contact our Fundraising Representatives at (585) 671-4069 or advise us by using the Contact Us feature of this website.
Your payment and personal contact information will be kept strictly CONFIDENTIAL and will NOT be shared with any other party or mailing list.
